🍴3 social post ideas you might have missed
Feeling stuck? Try these thought starters.
There’s an attention gold mine on these platforms, and I want you to get your cut.
But I don’t think the traditional — Write about xyz on this specific day-strategy is super helpful.
Sure, it gives you a starting point, but it’s like someone handing you a Rubix cube and telling you to solve it.
You know what you need to do, but you don’t know how to do it.
You try, get frustrated, and throw it into the garbage.
So, I’ve been playing with a new format to help you avoid the Rubix cube scenario and feel more confident when creating social content.
Here are three social post prompts I shared this week:
Idea 1: Mistakes were made.
Place your ego here: __________.
Ok, now that that’s off your shoulders, let’s talk mistakes.
We all make them, but we don’t want to admit it.
Until now.
What’s a mistake you’ve made in your career that turned into a valuable lesson that stuck with you?
Here’s an example:
One time, early in my career, my agency received an invoice from Getty for few hundred dollars.
Why? Because I used an image that wasn't ours.
Lesson? Only use images you have the rights to.
It's easy to think, "They won't notice."
But that time, they did.
What's a mistake you made that led to a lesson that's stuck with you?
Idea 2: Skill Sharpening.
What course, book, video series, podcast, etc., helped you elevate your skill set recently?
Highlight the resource (tag the company/creator if possible).
Talk about the topic.
Share a few takeaways from what you learned.
Explain how it helped you improve.
Idea 3: Toot your own horn.
It’s easy to hype other people up.
But we struggle to do it for ourselves.
I’m challenging you to give yourself a shout-out!
Take a few minutes and think about this past week.
Did you have any wins in your personal or professional life? If you did, SHARE IT!
Here’s how:
Share the win.
Share what excites you about it.
How will this win help you in the short- and long-term?
Did someone help you get the W? TAG THEM!
How do you plan on using this momentum?
It’s your turn! Use these prompts to write posts of your own!
Before you go, I need your feedback, please! ⬇️
