Did I catch you during your morning scroll with coffee? Good! Enjoy today’s Lunch Break🍴 and Happy Labor Day!

One of the easiest traps I see people fall into on LinkedIn is posting what they think they're supposed to share…

  • A repost of your company’s latest announcement.

  • A link to a blog… with no caption.

  • A generic update about what your business offers.

  • Thoughts on trending topics that EVERYONE is regurgitating.

Are those posts a safe bet? Yep. Are they memorable? Not particularly.

The problem is that these posts are surface-level.

They add to the noise on the platform, and you start to blend in with the cacophony of other creators doing and saying the same things.

Trusted by millions. Actually enjoyed by them too.

Surface-level posts rarely spark a connection.

The content that actually resonates is different because it’s from your experiences.

Your unique voice is what sets you apart from the others…

  • It’s the lesson you learned from leading a project.

  • The small story that shifted how you see your work.

  • The challenge you faced and the lesson you learned from it.

Those moments build trust and real traction because they show your expertise and your humanity.

Company updates build awareness, but your perspective builds connection.

And on LinkedIn, connection is your goal.

If you’re not sure where to start, I put together 12 ready-to-post LinkedIn ideas to help you write those kinds of posts.

PS If you like this newsletter, share it with a friend. We have plenty of room at our table!
