🍴Who cares?!

I mean that in the least sarcastic way possible.

I had a plan for this first email.

I was going to give you some more background on why I started The Lunch Break 🍴

I had a little spiel about social media being “rented land” and how that led to actually putting myself to the task of starting a newsletter.

I even found some cool email marketing statistics to build my case.

But when I reread it, I thought…

Who cares?

While that’d be an incendiary comment in a real-life conversation, it was the creative nudge and reminder I needed.

As marketers, our audience is the axis on which all our efforts turn.

So the question of who cares? isn’t meant to ruffle feathers.

It’s meant to keep us focused on creating and sharing content that speaks directly to our audience’s interests, paint points, questions, concerns, etc., etc.

Think of it as a “gut check” to make sure your content isn’t feeding your ego, but serving your audience with value.
