š“Did you feel that?
Your words are powerful.
What gets you to press your thumb on the screen when scrolling social media?
I bet itās a post that made you feel something.
Whether it solidified your laugh lines or spiked your blood pressure, you were drawn to it because of the emotion it stirred in you.
Think about it: the word itself, āeMOTION,ā encourages action and movement.
Thatās our ultimate goal when writing content.
We want people to do something ā to leave a comment or follow through on our call to action.
Getting to that point starts with a deep understanding of your audience.
What are they struggling with?
What questions do they have?
What problems plague them?
Speak to their experience with your content.
Make them feel seen and heard.
Remember, weāre all human and driven by emotions.
So, the next time you sit down to write a LinkedIn post, email, film a Reel, or whatever it may be, ask yourself:
What emotion do I want to focus on in this content?
How can I authentically create a connection with my audience based on their experience?
Something to think aboutā¦
Think about a piece of content you bookmarked, shared with someone else, or engaged with.
What about that post compelled you to take action?
How can you use that post as inspiration for your own content?
