You'll want to read this!
Everyoneās obsessed with impressions.
Sure, they show you how many times your content was displayed in the feed, but wouldnāt it be cool if you could actually see the source of the traffic?
Thatās where the āWhere You Appearedā metric comes into play.
This information lives in āSearch Appearancesā in your Analytics section.
It breaks down the sources of your visibility, like:
Posts
Search
Comments
Network recommendations
Hereās what Iāve learned from tracking this:
If my comments are driving most of my profile views, thatās my signal to press down harder on the gas.
If search is leading, my headline and about me have the right search terms in them.
If my posts are in the top spot, then my posting cadence and content are doing their job.
If network recommendations are leading the pack, LinkedIn is suggesting my profile to new people, which means my positioning is aligned with how the algorithm sees me.
Instead of guessing, you can see whatās working and act accordingly.
How to use it
1ļøā£ Check your āWhere You Appearedā once a week.
2ļøā£ Take note of your top two drivers.
3ļøā£ Build next weekās actions around them.
