🍴Does clutter make you anxious?
Keep Hoarders on TLC, not your website.
Have you ever been so overwhelmed by the clutter in your house that you do something entirely different instead of dealing with it?
Because, same.
That’s what it feels like when a website’s homepage is cluttered with competing messages.
We’re the best at this!
Hey, look at these awards!
But also, add your email to this pop-up.
Good luck finding the “x.”
When you’re done with that, read our entire history.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!
For our grand finale, enjoy this auto-play video with the volume cranked to ear-bleeding levels.
All these options are like clutter in a messy room you shut the door on.
When your homepage has a lot going on, people will click off your website and start looking elsewhere.
You want people to enjoy their experience, and it starts with a clean slate.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, start here:
What does your business offer that your audience needs to know? Add that statement (value proposition) to the hero section.
Create an intuitive navigation menu. You want users to easily navigate the site and find what they’re looking for.
Be selective with your calls to action. Start with your most important CTA, like a Contact Us, at the top in your hero section. As they move down the page, include less valuable CTAs, like links to your blogs, for example.
Include testimonials. This is social proof to build your visitors’ confidence in your brand. Include them just below the fold.
Share clear descriptions of your products/services. Give visitors a quick understanding of who you are and what you do, and include links to their dedicated pages.
