šŸ“Don't use Sharpie

This isn't an anti-Sharpie post.

Marketing strategies are important.

They keep people on the same page and working toward the same outcome.

But, just because you wrote it down, designed it beautifully, and sent it to your whole team, doesnā€™t mean itā€™s permanent.

Thereā€™s always room for improvement.

There are always opportunities for you to make adjustments and change course.

If youā€™re in the early stages of building your marketing strategy, write it in pencil, not Sharpie.

Allow yourself to change your mind based on your audience, the market, and your data.

Make tweaks.

Erase and replace.

Repeat.

Three Marketing Strategy Starter Tips

Here are three quick tips to consider when building your marketing strategy.

Know your audience.

Who are you talking to? How old are they? Where do they live? What are their interests?

The answers to these questions helps you get to know them better and gives you a good foundation to build from.

Set goals.

What are you trying to achieve?

Brand awareness? More Followers? Sales?

Likely all the above.

But, setting those goals gives you a North Star to guide your strategies.

Highlight your differences.

Is the price or quality of your product better than others on the market?

Highlight those differences in your content through stories and customer testimonials.

Show donā€™t tell your audience what makes you worth the investment.
