🍴IWITOT Vol. 7 - Grounding Bedsheets
Touch grass.
If you didn’t pick up on the abbreviation in the subject line, IWITOT stands for I Wish I Thought Of That Thursday.
Neither roll off the tongue so I might have to repackage this weekly feature 🤣
But for now, we’re here to talk about an ad I saw this week and loved.
It’s from GroundingWell.
I’m a big fan of grounding.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, it’s when you touch your skin to the Earth - preferably grass.
It helps connect your body to the electric charge of the Earth and transfers electrons to your body.
This can help reduce inflammation, manage chronic pain, help with anxiety and more.
Here’s the ad I loved:

And here’s why I liked it:
I liked the animation. It’s in stark contrast to the other content on my feed, so when I saw a stick figure on the white background, I was immediately intrigued.
I like the simplicity and layout of the content. The ping ponging between normal and bold fonts kept my attention.
I’ve seen variations of this style of advertisement in the past. I liked their spin. The content was simple, but still told a story.
This copy reminded me of one of Jeff Swartz’s LinkedIn posts. In it, he talked about how the purpose of an ad isn’t to complete a sale. The goal’s to create an opportunity to make a sale. This ad aligned with that sentiment. They shared just enough to create a sense of intrigue. How and why do these sheets replace expensive massages? You had to click to find out.
I liked how they added a picture of the product so you could actually see what GroundingWell bedsheets look like.
I’ve seen their other ads where they actually show and don’t just tell users how well their sheets work and I’m intrigued.
Has anyone tried grounding sheets, mats or anything of the sort?!
