🍴Here's what to write about this week

5 prompts for the next five work days

In partnership with

I haven't shared prompts in a while. So today, that's what I'm doing.

The writing can be hard (My MEAL method can help here). But coming up with an idea to talk about in the first place is usually harder.

That's why I'm sharing five thought starters.

Whether you're new to posting or have been at it for a while, these prompts will help you turn your experiences into posts.

Find your next winning ad creative in seconds with AI

Most AI tools promise you thousands of ads at the click of a button. But do you really need more ads—or just better ones?

Kojo helps you cut through the noise. We analyze your paid social data to uncover the ideas with the highest chance of success. Then, our AI predicts which concepts will perform best, so you don’t waste budget testing what won’t work.

Instead of drowning in endless variations, Kojo sends your best idea straight to a real human creator who makes it engaging, authentic, and ready to win on social. The entire process takes less than 20 seconds, giving you certainty before you spend and better performance without the waste.

Why gamble on guesswork or settle for AI spam when you can launch ads proven to work, made by people, and backed by data?

Prompt 1: What’s something people in your world overcomplicate?

How to think through it: Think about what feels unnecessarily hard, whether it’s a mindset, a process, or a piece of advice.

How it could come to life: Share times when you overcomplicated it too, and how you ended up simplifying it. Walk them through your thought process.

Here’s an idea to start your post: I used to make ___ way harder than it needed to be.

EXAMPLE: Last week, I wrote about the biggest mistake I see executives make on LinkedIn, sharing what they think they should share instead of what actually builds trust. Here's the post. That's overcomplication in action. They're stuck trying to figure out what's "LinkedIn-appropriate" instead of just being human.

Prompt 2: What’s a small habit that changed your life?

How to think through it: Focus on the ripple effect of the habit. What did it make easier? What have you accomplished since? What are some tips other people can use to implement it in their lives?

How it could come to life: Share the habit, then the reason it stuck. This isn’t so much about the thing you do, it’s more about what it changed in your life.

Here’s an idea to start your post: I started doing (small habit) and it changed how I ___.

Prompt 3: When’s the last time you felt truly content?

How to think through it: What exactly made that moment feel right? Was it a feeling of peace, progress, or presence?

How it could come to life: Drop us into the scene with details. Bring readers into it, then close with the thought that surfaced in that moment.

Here’s an idea to start your post: Did you ever have a moment when everything felt right?

That happened to me…

Prompt 4: What’s a belief you’ve outgrown?

How to think through it: Start with the belief itself, something you used to subscribe to. Then guide us through the process of what made you rethink it.

How it could come to life: Write it as a realization, not a moral compass. I used to think X, until Y. It’s a great way to be vulnerable and show you can grow and change your mind.

Here’s an idea to start your post: I used to believe ___, but lately I’ve realized ___.

Prompt 5: What do you want to be known for outside of your work?

How to think through it: What characteristics do you want people to remember you for? Think of soft skills like emotional intelligence, communication, willingness to help, etc.

How it could come to life: Share a quiet reflection about the person you strive to be. What makes you most proud of yourself? Encourage others to share theirs.

Here’s an idea to start your post: When people talk about me years from now, I hope they say ___.

Now that you have these five prompts, pick one and see where it takes you.

If you use one of these prompts, DM me the link. I’d love to read it and leave a comment!
