šŸ“How's your reach?

This could make a difference

Have you noticed it?

Because I know I have.

Reach on posts is taking a hit.

And, listen, it’s not you, it’s LinkedIn.

I’ve seen several reports and a lot of talk on the platform that organic reach is down significantly.

But here’s the good news: engagement on comments is up

That means there’s a real opportunity for you to show up and stand out, not because of the content you’re publishing, but because of the comments you’re leaving.

Short, cookie-cutter comments like ā€œCongrats on the new job!ā€ won’t move the needle.

Comments that require a little more effort are getting the spotlight.

So, let’s chat about comments.

They’re not just a nice-to-have anymore; they’re becoming the main event.

They:

  • Now display impression counts

  • Can drive more profile views. LinkedIn tracks when people discover you through your comments.

  • Work for you even on days you don’t post.

If you want traction, you need to aim for comments of 15+ words.

These comments should add something to the conversation, like an example, counterpoint, question, or a story.

If you need help getting started, I put together a swipe file with 5 scenarios + 10 plug-and-publish templates to help you write meaningful comments.

Your Turn

Scroll your feed today and pick FIVE posts that interest you. Leave a 15+ word comment on each using the templates I shared with you.

Your goal is to show up and share your perspective when it adds value.
