🍴Don't hoard your knowledge

A week's worth of LinkedIn post topics to share what you know

If I share it, someone might steal it.

Listen, I deal with these thoughts too.

There’s always a slight resistance to sharing your approach and strategy with others.

There’s a fear someone will take what you shared and do it on their own…without your help.

In our minds, it’s a missed opportunity to attract more work.

But, in reality, it’s a magnet.

We all have the opportunity to use LinkedIn to our advantage.

We can use it to highlight our skills, share our knowledge, and show, not tell people, that what we’re offering is worth their money.

The subject line of this email is Don’t hoard your knowledge.

So, I’m going to challenge you this week to share yours.

Here are five LinkedIn post prompts for the week to give you a headstart.

Post Idea 1: Crazy client request.

What’s the most bizarre client request you’ve received, and how did it transform your approach?

Crazy asks can lead to breakthrough solutions. Share yours!

Post Idea 2: Best practice replacement.

What outdated industry “best practice” should have been thrown out years ago?

What did you replace it with? How has that worked out for you?

Post Idea 3: Borrowing inspiration.

What have you learned from another industry that’s revolutionized your work?

Let’s say you’re a writer; you could tell us how studying comedy and joke writing made you better at writing sales copy.

ICYMI: I wrote about how Jerry Seinfeld’s joke writing process can help us create better LinkedIn content.

Post Idea 4: Comment magnet.

If you want to spark a healthy debate in the comments, tell us your take on an industry trend you think is hurting not helping people.

Defend your stance with facts and examples from your experience.

Post Idea 5: Workflow wisdom.

What’s a workflow hack or process improvement that’s made your job a lot easier?

If you’re worried, people will be like, “wE aLrEaDy KnOw ThAt…”

Just know someone else will have a lightbulb moment because of it.

You want to help the latter. SHARE WHAT YOU KNOW!
