🍴IWITOT Vol. 12: Flip it & Reverse it
I bet you're singing a certain song now 🎶
Sorry that I got Missy Elliott stuck in your head.
You’ll understand why I mentioned it soon.
Every morning, while my husband and I work out, we put the TV on in the background.
David Goggins would rip us to shreds for it, but it’s nice to have a little distraction.
Last week, I kept seeing this Honda F1 ad.
And, every time I saw it, I felt familiar feelings well inside me…
Creative jealousy.
It’s an envy-inducing piece of content, which is why it’s this week’s I Wish I Thought of That Thursday feature.
If you haven’t seen it yet, please watch:
I mean…
COME ON.
It’s so good.
You don’t even have to like F1 to get the chills.
It’s a motivational masterpiece.
The ad starts off with a defeatist attitude. It read like a white flag cuts through the air in an act of surrender.
Then, they flipped it and reversed it (now you see why I mentioned Missy Elliott?).
That white flag quickly became checkered as they reversed the poem.
I’ve watched it countless times, and each time, I become more enamored with the beauty of a reverse poem.
From the words to the video, it was a true work of heart.
