How to see how your posts are performing.
āPay attention to your content analytics.ā
Thatās amazing advice and something you should definitely do. But, if you canāt get to your Analytics in the first place, thatās a problem.
Today, Iām showing you my way of reviewing my LinkedIn post performance.
Let me just preface this video by saying I use a free Loom account so the functionality is limited. This video will automatically play at 1.2x speed. You can adjust it back to 1x speed if you want.
I thought Iād throw that out there so you donāt think I sound like a chipmunk IRL. š
Anyways, in this video I walk you through how to get to your LinkedIn Analytics and then some tips on how to use that data to your advantage.
How to Find Your LinkedIn Analytics
If you learn better by reading, hereās the steps I covered in the video:
Go to your LinkedIn profile.
Scroll down to the Analytics section
Click āShow all analyticsā
Click on āPost Impressionsā
On the next screen youāll see two green buttons at the top ā āPast 7 daysā and āImpressionsā
Click the āPast 7 daysā button and youāll see a drop-down where you can adjust the timeframe.
Click the āImpressionsā button and you can either choose impressions or engagements.
Set your filters. Once you do, new data will populate under it.
How to Use Your LinkedIn Analytics Data
The section I pay the most attention to is the āTop Performing Posts.ā
Itās here youāll see all of your posts in your chosen timeframe ranked from best performing to worst performing.
Take a look at your best posts.
What was the topic?
What was your angle?
What post style was it? Carousel? Static image? Video? Text-based?
The answers to these questions will help you plan future pieces of content.
Now, how can you take that post and breathe new life into it?
Can you write a new hook?
Come up with a new piece of creative?
Approach it from another angle?
Tee it up with a new story?
The idea here is to give your best performing posts more chances to succeed by refreshing and republishing them.
