🍴Now Serving: Shake Shack fun fact

Did you know this is how it started? 🍔

Shake Shack is known for its burgers, crinkle fries, and shakes.

But, it had an unlikely start.

Shake Shack’s origin story begins with a hot dog cart in a Madison Square Park art installation.

Back in 2001, famous restauranteur Danny Meyer spearheaded an initiative to support an art installation called "I âť¤ď¸Ź Taxi"

They wanted to breathe new life into the Park, so Meyer decided to fire up a hot dog cart.

It didn’t take long for the idea to catch on.

Demand surged, and they set up shop for two more summers.

After that stint, they decided to turn this idea into a permanent food kiosk in the park.

From there, it morphed into the restaurant we know today—the one valued at around $3.4 billion and with over 500 locations.

I’m sharing this story for two reasons:

  1. I love a good fun fact. (I just subscribed to The Daily Fact today. It’s good to far. check it out)

  2. It’s a good reminder that…

âťť

Everyone starts small.

Everyone starts somewhere.

So, if you’re sitting on an idea, do something today to chip away at it.

  • Take the idea out of your head and organize it in a document.

  • Buy the domain name.

  • Write the website copy.

  • Do some research.

  • Create an action plan.

  • If you have an action plan, do something on the action plan.

You get what I’m saying…

Just do something.

Your future self will thank you.

Building on Beehiiv: Was it something I said?

This week, two people unsubscribed from The Lunch Break🍴

At first, I took it personally. But then I had a change of heart.

I wrote about it in this week’s Building on Beehiiv recap.
