🍴Show off your versatility

There's more to it than meets the eye đź‘€

I don’t know about you, but my marketing mind never stops.

Even though I’ve spent most of my career in B2B marketing, I have a sweet spot for B2C and always come up with random ideas, like a car dealership hosting Food Truck Fridays.

Here’s why I think it could work:

  1. It would attract people to their lots. They could park cars they want to sell fast near the food trucks.

  2. People are naturally curious, so they’ll look at the cars closest to them while waiting for food. All it takes is one person to buy a car.

Is this a decent idea?

Another idea I had is inspired by the holiday season 🎅🎄

In my opinion, every company that sells a physical product should start promoting its versatility now!

Nowadays, people want to spend their money wisely and on things their loved ones will actually like.

Showing people different use cases, some obvious and some not so obvious, is a great way to build trust and increase sales.

Here are a few other reasons you should start promoting the versatility of your product:

  1. Perceived value. Consumers will feel like they’re getting more out of your product. When they see a product serves multiple purposes, they feel more confident in their investment.

  2. Word-of-mouth marketing. Your customers are your greatest salespeople. Empower them to share how they use your product and share their feedback on your social channels. You’re killing two birds with one stone — collecting and promoting social proof + fueling your content calendar.

  3. Differentiator. If your space is competitive, showcasing the versatility of your product(s) is a great way to stand out and capture your audience’s attention.

I pulled together a couple examples of brands that do a good job of showing their products’ versatility ⬇️

Graza.co

Whether it’s a finishing drizzle on soup or flavor bast in a mocktail, Graza.co’s Instagram feed is filled with use cases.

Kane Footwear

Kane is a recovery shoe. I have a pair and LOVE them.

There’s definitely a theme on their Instagram feed - athletes.

But, they do a good job of showcasing their shoes’ versatility by showing active people wearing them to recover while marathon training, while they’re out running errands, or during a strength training session.

A question for you…

What brand(s) do you think do a good job of this? Reply to this email. I’d love to know!
