Wow. That’s a good start for a post.
Opens laptop. Pulls up LinkedIn. Rests fingers on keyboard and….
Nothing.
Does that happen to you, too?
You have an idea. One you’re excited to share, and then when it comes time to get it out of your brain and onto the screen, it all falls apart.
Here's what I've learned from writing posts for myself and clients:
Most people think better out loud than on paper. I know I do.
When you're talking, ideas flow.
You might even go off on a tangent, and suddenly an idea for one post turns into three.
But when you’re typing, two things happen:
Your mind can only go as fast as your fingers.
You edit yourself before you even form the full thought.
So next time you have an idea, try a Voice note instead. Braindump everything. Don’t hold back.
When you do this, you’ll have the transcription, and then you can use the MEAL Method to structure it into a post.
You'll capture the idea, sound more like yourself, and improve your odds of actually publishing the post.
Your brain already knows what to say. Sometimes you just need to trick it into saying it out loud first.
