Clean carousels. Familiar hooks. Perfectly structured stories.
Those were all super common at the end of 2025.
None of it’s necessarily bad, but it’s just indistinguishable.
People followed what performed well and saw positive results. But the more widely those tactics were used, the harder it was for anyone to stand out and tell one voice from another.
And look, I get it.
You see something that works, so you try it. That's smart. But when everyone's using the same playbook, people keep scrolling.
The posts that do make us stop feel different.
They feel like we’re almost eavesdropping inside someone’s head.
There’s personality, a unique sense of clarity, and a point of view that wasn’t recycled.
When we finish reading, we feel oddly satisfied and compelled to respond.
That’s the kind of content worth aiming for in 2026.
Easy setup, easy money
Making money from your content shouldn’t be complicated. With Google AdSense, it isn’t.
Automatic ad placement and optimization ensure the highest-paying, most relevant ads appear on your site. And it literally takes just seconds to set up.
That’s why WikiHow, the world’s most popular how-to site, keeps it simple with Google AdSense: “All you do is drop a little code on your website and Google AdSense immediately starts working.”
The TL;DR? You focus on creating. Google AdSense handles the rest.
Start earning the easy way with AdSense.
And to help us create and share that kind of content, I want to introduce you to The Eavesdrop Test.
Before hitting publish, ask yourself:
Would this sound interesting if I overheard it at a coffee shop?
If it sounds like something you'd say in a meeting, skip it. If it sounds like something you'd say chatting with a friend over coffee, use it.
Interesting posts don’t manufacture relevance; they amplify it.
This year, talk about what actually holds your attention. Not what you think should, for the sake of views and impressions.
Of course, thinking this way is one thing. Hitting publish consistently is another.
That’s why I put together a simple $5 pre-publish checklist you can refer to before you hit “Post.”
Not to “perfect” your posts but to make sure your voice doesn’t get edited out in the process.
If 2026 is the year you want your LinkedIn posts to sound more like you, the Eavesdrop Test is where to start.
The checklist just helps you follow through.
