š“Are you doing this on LinkedIn?
It's just as important as content creation.
I donāt want that to feel like a clickbait subject line, so Iām jumping right in.
Are you taking the time to leave comments on other peopleās LinkedIn content?
If you are, great! Keep doing it!
If youāre not, now is the perfect time to start.
If youāre thinking, nice, another thing to add to my to-do list.
Donāt worry. This isnāt a heavy lift.
Hereās how I do it. I think it can help you build the habit.
My LinkedIn Commenting Routine
Every weekday morning, I spend around five minutes scrolling through my feed and leaving comments on peopleās posts.
This is like my commenting starter because, throughout the day, Iāll go back and leave more comments when I have a few minutes to spare.
My Suggestion to Build Your LinkedIn Commenting Habit
I suggest adding a five-minute meeting on your calendar for the same time every weekday. Pick a time you can stick with.
That way, you wonāt forget because youāll get a calendar notification.
This will help you get into a routine.
Then, once you get used to commenting at your determined time, add a few more minutes throughout the day to do it again.
Why I Comment on Peopleās Posts
I comment on peopleās posts for a few reasons.
Here are the top three:
If I want people to engage with my posts, I need to comment on other peopleās content. Engagement is like a boomerang. What you give out, you *should* get back. Reciprocity, baby!
I follow insanely talented and smart people. Their posts get my creative juices flowing and spark my own content creation. Plus, I love commenting on their posts to boost their reach. They deserve it.
Building on the last point, I often turn my comments on other peopleās content into my own posts. Check outš“Comments are Content for details on how to do this!
