I was in a mindless scrolling session when I came across this ad.
I’ve seen their ads before, but only let them play a few seconds.
This one was different. I watched it from start to finish.
Because of that, it’s this week’s I Wish I Thought of That Thursday feature.
Here’s the ad I’m talking about.
Here’s why I liked it:
You’ve probably seen this “impromptu” Q&A style on your feed and the Discover page lately. It’s super common, and I think it was smart for them to use it because people are used to it. It blended well and didn’t feel like an ad at first.
The conversation felt fluid, not forced. It gave off “non-ad” vibes—which is what you want when advertising. They showcased the benefits of their product without making it feel like the main character.
The “host” was casual in his delivery, which helped dig into how the app works without feeling in your face.
I also love how they left in the guy saying, “Only F—.” That’s an attention-grabber and a hot topic in the comments section. Great for engagement!
